I have a customer that is having an issue with 2 computers that are both having the same issue with outlook 2016 where while there are looking at their mail box and all of their emails are in the list. When they go from item to item there is a significant delay before it loads.

I also have this 'local' issue. Very annoying to wait over a minute to have the file tab react. And I am the only one in our office that has this issue to boot ( similar hardware, OS patching, and graphic cards). There has to be some application configuration, graphic card setup, or OS requirement to point to fix the issue. What it is, is beyond my knowledge of Revit. If someone has a work around, that would be great to share. We do work in the cloud, so I would like to take advantage of this new interface for cloud models. I was seeing the same problem, before and after updates.

Other users I checked with were not having the issue. What eventually fixed it for me was running a repair from the Windows control panel. Other things to try would be recreating/replacing the.ini file as well as running with all add-ins disabled. In general I think 2018 and 2019 is even just slower to launch. Once open they are fine however. 2019 47sec. 2018 48sec. 2017 19sec.

2016 13sec. 2015 13secAdmittedly this could be due to lots of variables. Once open I usually leave Revit open the entire day so launch times are less of a problem. I decided to completely rebuild my revit.ini but again the benefit was temporary. I also tried setting it to not display recent files.

Still I'm up against way too much time to have to wait to open the file menu. I shouldn't have to do this stuff to make the program work properly. Autodesk, please fix it! I agree, the fix is temporary.

Outlook 2019 Slow Startup

The very first time I noticed this problem the first solution I tried was removing the 'recent files' list from the.ini. As the problem returned I assumed it was something else.

Doing a repair of Revit also worked, which probably achieves the same result of removing the 'recent files' list from the.ini, and then some. However, the problem has again returned for me: slow file menu response. Hotels with balcony london pictures. Completely defeats the purpose of the new Revit home feature of 2019.1 if we have to keep removing recent files from the.ini.
