Dino Charge has two seasons.(/spoiler). I’ve heard from fans of the Japanese version that it was one of the best seasons over there. I think people who know that are excited and people who have experienced meh seasons of Power Rangers are surprised at how good that first episode was. Let’s be honest, some of the acting last season was pretty weak. I liked Ninja Steel overall but I was really disappointed with the choice for the red ranger.

That guy seemed more like he should have been the yellow ranger, or anyone who wasn’t the leader. And those two comic relief guys in the high school were annoying.
The surprise comes not from the reaction to the Sentai material but from the reaction to past Power Rangers seasons. Many recent seasons were.not good. Stiff acting, bad/lazy writing, and in particular Victor and Monty, two characters who were somehow simultaneously copies of Bulk and Skull but also 100x worse.It just feels like so much more effort and thought was put into this season. The characters feel like actual characters, the humor and drama was balanced, and we already have our first unmorphed battle, our first morphed battle and our first helmetless scene in the first episode alone.(Also, to be frank, not every Power Rangers fan is aware of the Sentai. The older ones generally know it exists but don’t necessarily check it out.
Personally, I still have yet to watch Go-Busters, and will probably have to put that on hold until after Beast Morphers is done so I don’t confuse myself.).
