Assault Frigate Mk Ii
Still, if there is one rebel capital ship I've never liked the looks of it has to be this one. It's just too short and fat, as if it was a chibi/super deformed version of a proper ship. Not to take anything from our beloved UK Winger here. This is the way I am going, and I am not trying to do the exact MKII, but what I am calling a MKIII. Bulldog this may give you some ideas to brother. The back of this ship is more there, and the look has more sleek going on, while still looking heavy duty.Anyhow since we will have exact MKII in ARMADA, that just inspired me more to do a sleeker, smaller version of the ship, thus the MKIII.Keep at it Bulldog! I like the fact that we are going to come up with two similar but different ships Joeboss, keeps things fresh! Yes, do keep at it both of you, just remember that we want pics (or it didn't happen) of both builds.
The Assault Frigate Mark II was a light warship that saw extensive service with the Alliance of Nations. The Assault Frigate Mk. II was a further development of the Dreadnaught-class heavy cruiser modification project, which produced the Mark I Assault Frigate.Although the modification procedures allowed for some variation between individual craft, the most common assault frigate configuration. The Assault Frigate Mark II Expansion Pack for Star WarsTM: Armada introduces one fully pre- painted Assault Frigate Mark II starship miniature, the largest and most powerful Rebel ship from the game's first wave. The expansion also includes all the command dials and tokens that you need to bring it to battle, two ship cards that allow you to. The Assault Frigate Mark II B (AFII-B) is the cheaper of the two, coming in 9 points lower at 72 total, or just one point shy of a VSD1. For getting back those 9 points, you lose the 1 Blue on the fore and aft, giving you only 2 Red in both fore / aft arcs.
Wouldn't want to disappoint your adoring fans, right?Yeah it is cool to know that we can all inspire each other. I love that aspect of owning a blog or other nice media outlet.
Bulldog blaims me for giving him ideas but he inspires me too, and I am sure other like minded people enjoy his work. I had to giggle when i saw he had recently converted a full STAW BORG Fleet on his other hang out site. Sweet mother of God Joeboss, don't tell them we play the 'other' game, they will spam us with complicated tournament lists to bore us to death.AnyhoooPretty much finished the basic shape now, will have to bob it away for a couple of weeks now I have my table back so I can crack on with some paid commission work but next will be detailing and a huge base!Big fat Gypsy SpaceshipI wonder who ate all the space pies?Teeny weeny xwing for scaleShow off!Bum endBreaks down for easy storage/transport and leaves me the option of future mods.

Assault Frigate Mark 1
Although the modification procedures allowed for some variation between individual craft, the most common assault frigate configuration had large dorsal engine fins, and could operate with less than a third of the Dreadnaught's crew requirements (4,820 nominal/ 1600 minimum) thanks to extensive automation systems. The Assault Frigate Mark II incorporated a shield generator based on Mon Calamari designs, as well as Calamari shield subsystems that allowed an increase in shield power for short periods.HistoryThe had a limited amount of in its fleet. To fill their need for warships, Rebel engineers started the AAF project.Using the design of the Dreadnaught-class heavy cruiser as a starting point, the original Assault Frigate was created. This design was further modified by dissident engineers at Rendili StarDrive, creating the Mark II. The Mark II shirked much of its predecessors' history however, moving away from the standard Dreadnaught model toward a more original design. After the Rebellion sympathies of this splinter group was discovered within their company, Rendili StarDrive brought an end to the Mark II project. Though the Mark II did not disappear completely, further production slowed to a trickle. However, the Mark I remained in common use even in the time of the New Republic. As seen in Star Wars: Empire at War StrengthsThe Assault Frigates are very effective against corvette and light frigate class vessels, most notably,.
The Assault Frigate also seems to have an advantage against, due to their Shield Recharge special ability, which effectively nullifies the ion cannon on the Victory (unless the Victory boosts its firepower). Assault Frigates can also fend off fighter attacks fairly well with their laser cannons.
Alliance Assault Frigate
They are also roughly 20% faster than a Nebulon-B at sublight speeds, giving them the capability to rapidly charge an enemy and out-maneuver the bulkier and slower Imperial frigates in hit-and-run attacks.WeaknessesWhen comparing the Alliance Assault Frigate and Nebulon-B, the Assault Frigate is not much of a step up in terms of durability. The Assault Frigate's armor and shielding are only slightly better than the Nebulon-B frigate's. While the Assault Frigate is a proven warship against corvettes and other frigates, it suffers from an ineffectiveness against capital ships and high level space stations, and a vulnerability to bombers due to its low number of hardpoints.Appearances.
